As 2025 comes to a close, we are reminded of the power of community—and how, even in the face of adversity, we can achieve remarkable things together.

This year brought significant challenges. The unexpected loss of funding for our citizenship program forced us to make difficult staffing decisions and rethink how we deliver our services. Yet thanks to the resilience of our team—and the unwavering support of donors like you—we adapted. We built stronger partnerships, launched creative outreach efforts, and continued to open our doors to everyone seeking a better future through education.

And it’s working.

We’ve seen mothers learning to read for the first time while balancing jobs and childcare. We’ve helped jobseekers gain digital skills and confidence to pursue new careers. We’ve guided immigrants through the journey to citizenship—offering not just tutoring, but hope.

One student recently said, “I’ve worked hard my whole life. Now it’s time to do something for myself. That’s why I’m here.” She, and so many others, are why we do this work.

But we can’t do it without you.

Our 2025 End-of-Year Campaign Goal is $60,000

This is a significant increase from last year’s goal, reflecting the growing demand for our programs and the reduction in available grant funding. Your support will help us continue meeting the needs of our students and expanding access to literacy and education for all. Whether you’ve supported us before or are giving for the first time, your gift today will have an immediate and lasting impact.

Here’s what your support does:

• $1,000 funds a semester of classes for 8 students.
• $500 provides a full year of one-on-one tutoring for a low-income learner.
• $250 covers a semester of Citizenship or English instruction for one student.
• $80 covers registration and materials for an ESOL student.
• $40 supports a parent working to improve their literacy and support their family.

Throughout the year, donors have stepped up during Giving Tuesday, summer fundraisers, and community events—and their generosity has been truly inspiring. Now, as we close the year, we ask you to stand with us once more to ensure that no student is turned away due to lack of resources.
