Announcing Skyline Literacy’s Highly Anticipated Annual Charity Golf Tournament!

Tee up for a fantastic cause at our Golfing Fundraiser supporting Adult Education, Literacy, Citizenship, and Digital Literacy. Here's your chance to combine your love for golf with the power of education and make a lasting impact in our community.

Get ready to swing for a great cause as Skyline Literacy proudly presents the Golfing for Literacy charity tournament. This year’s event promises to be a day of fun, philanthropy, and friendly competition, all in support of adult education and literacy programs. Mark your calendars for Friday, September 15, 2023, at Heritage Oaks Golf Course (680 Garbers Church Rd., Harrisonburg, VA 22802).

The tournament schedule guarantees an exciting day for all participants. Registration opens promptly at 11:30am, followed by a delicious lunch at 12pm, and tee-off at 1pm. Golf enthusiasts can delight in the 18-hole course’s scenic beauty while engaging in a four-member team captain’s choice format. The individual cost to partake in this memorable event is $135 per participant, with a team registration fee set at $450.

Apart from the excitement on the course, Skyline Literacy is thrilled to invite the community to join us in fostering a brighter future through education. We welcome individual and corporate sponsors to extend their support at various levels of involvement. To explore sponsorship opportunities, please call Nelly Moreno Shenk at (540) 433-0505. Sponsorship checks should be made out to “Skyline Literacy” and sent to P.O. Box 1354, Harrisonburg, VA 22803. Rest assured, each sponsor will receive a receipt from Skyline Literacy, recognizing their valuable and tax-deductible contribution.

Our collective goal is to raise $25,000, and we can’t achieve it without your generous aid! Every dollar generated through the tournament will directly benefit Skyline Literacy’s programs, driving positive change in the lives of individuals seeking to expand their knowledge and literacy skills.
